Maintenance Technician

Job Description:  The Maintenance Technician is a full time position responsible for maintenance operations at the site. This position will involve the scheduling and administration of maintenance activities as required for the systems, buildings, and grounds at the site. The ideal candidate has a general working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and is able to work independently with a variety of tools and equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Working with site management, develop and execute maintenance schedules as required.

• Perform general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. tasks as required.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Reporting to management any issues requiring maintenance at the site.

• Schedule and work with outside contractors for project work as required.

• Serve as the primary contact person for after-hours alarms or emergencies.

• Other tasks as required.

Skills Required:

• Must be flexible and willing to take on new tasks and projects when assigned.

• Be able to lift at least 50 lbs and have a strong mechanical aptitude.

• Good documentation skills are required.

• Must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Must be able or willing to learn to operate heavy equipment at the site.

• Work background in a production environment is preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or an Associates Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

• Experience in a laboratory or production environment is highly desirable.
