Job Title:  Lab Technician

Job Description:  The laboratory technician is responsible for a variety of tasks in the laboratory to support operations.  Reporting to the laboratory manager, the laboratory technician will be involved in the daily maintenance and operation of the laboratory, maintaining a clean and organized area where assigned.

Essential Duties:

• Glassware Washing.
• Maintenance of chemical waste streams and disposal procedures.
• Preparation of reagents and chemical solutions for use in the laboratory.
• Logging and management of samples.
• Document laboratory data using Good Documentation Practices.
• Other tasks as required.
• Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Must be proficient in use of MS Office Programs and have a good general understanding of IT systems.
• Previous laboratory work experience preferred but not required.
•  Two years minimum educational or work experience in the Life Sciences preferred.
